Cambridge Examination Courses 30

The Cambridge Examinations are accepted by companies and academic institutions as proof of competence in English and are highly regarded In many countries around the world. Over the years LSI students have enjoyed a high success rate in these examinations.

At LSI London Hampstead, you can prepare for the FCE, CAE or CPE Examination. Our staff members and teachers will be happy to advise you which examination is most suitable for you if you are unsure of your level. Our courses are designed to prepare you for all 5 parts of the exam (reading, writing, speaking, listening and grammar), and to let you sit the exam with confidence.

Cambridge First Certificate in English (FCE) Course length: 9/12 weeks - An upper-intermediate level exam: Passing shows that you have a wide vocabulary and are able to express an opinion persuasively and effectively. You should have no trouble adapting to a variety of social, work and personal situations.

Why should I take the FCE? 1) Employers worldwide recognise the FCE. You can use English for small work-related tasks and even undertake an internship. 2) You can use the result as part of an application for some degree and diploma courses. 3) If you want to take the CAE, passing the FCE is perfect preparation. An FCE pass is equivalent to: IELTS: 5.5 - 6.5, TOEFL iBT: 69-91 or TOEIC: 650 – 800; CEF Level B2 .

Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) Course length: 9/12 weeks - An advanced level exam: Passing shows that you have a good command of English vocabulary and grammar. You can apply English confidently in education, social and professional settings. It will also show that you can use your English language skills in a range of culturally appropriate ways.

Why should I take the CAE? 1. Applying to many degree and diploma courses at established universities is possible. 2. Employers understand that you are able to apply English in most professional settings. 3. You will be ideally prepared to study for the Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE). A CAE pass is equivalent to: IELTS 6.5 - 7.5, TOEFL iBT 90-100; TOEIC 800 – 900; CEF Level C1 .

Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) Course length: 12 weeks - A post-advanced level exam: Passing the exam will demonstrate that your standard of English is approaching that of an educated native speaker. It will also show that you can use English with ease and fluency in almost any situation.

Why should I take the CPE? 1. Entry to graduate and postgraduate degrees at prestigious institutions is now possible. 2. There is no higher English language accreditation than the CPE! Employers worldwide will recognise that you can use English expertly in a professional setting. A CPE pass is equivalent to: IELTS: 7.5+; TOEFL iBT 100+; TOEIC 900+; CEF Level C2
